Thank you for joining the conversation about the Township of Puslinch's Speed Study. The Township is seeking your feedback regarding a Speed Study that was conducted by Paradigm Transportation Solutions Limited (Paradigm).

Paradigm completed a detailed analysis of the existing road conditions, existing posted speed limits and an analysis of key features that influence the posted speed limits. This resulted in new implementation strategies and recommended posted speed limits for each road.

It was found that 35% of the road network currently operates with an unposted speed limit of 80 km/h, less than 1% with a posted speed limit of 40 km/h, 4.6% with a posted speed limit of 50 km/h, 53.8% with a posted speed limit of 60 km/h, 4.5% with a posted speed limit of 70 km/h, and 1.2% with a posted speed limit of 80 km/h.

Paradigm recommends speed limits varying between 40 km/h and 70 km/h, with a majority of road segments recommended at 50 km/h and 60 km/h. Prior to completing the survey, please review the complete Puslinch Speed Study document that is attached.
