Thank you for joining the conversation about home industries in the Township of Puslinch!

In response to concerns identified by the public and Council regarding the current Home Industry provisions, on behalf of the Township, the County of Wellington staff are seeking feedback on potential changes to the Home Industry provisions Section 4.12 in the Township's Zoning By-law.

The County of Wellington Planner's first brought a report on September 21, 2021 - D14/HOM - Internal Zoning By-law Amendment - Home Industries to provide information on the current permissions for home industries, provincial policy, best practices and options for public engagement. They brought a second report on October 13, 2021 - D14/HOM - Internal Zoning By-law Amendment - Home Industries 1 - Existing Home Industry Zoning Provisions identifying potential changes to the Home Industry provisions. This report does not include final staff recommendations, but is intended to provide information on options to address the issues brought forward by Council and the public. Both reports can be viewed on the Documents section of this page.

The Township held a Public Information Centre on December 7, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the Planning and Development Advisory Committee meeting. You view the Public Information Centre video here.     The Township wants to hear your comments regarding home industries. All comments will be provided to Council for consideration at a future Council meeting as part of a County of Wellington Planning Report. Please do not provide information regarding specific prosperities as responses to this survey will be included as part of a staff report. In accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act all personal information will be redacted.
