Council has directed staff to conduct public consultation with respect to the proposed Donation Policy. The Township recognizes that residents may want to make donations to support Township projects, programs and services. This policy is meant to be a guide on the review and acceptance of such donations and to ensure that the Township acknowledges the donor appropriately.
The goal of this proposed policy is to establish an efficient process for managing donations, with the aim of generating revenue to support both new and existing facilities, projects, and activities approved by Council. The policy covers monetary donations, gift-in-kind contributions, sponsorship and naming rights agreements, and the Township's commemorative bench and tree program.
